The Penfret Lighthouse was lit in 1838\\. Access to the gallery is possible after a climb of 95 steps. Next to the lighthouse, in the same enclosure, is a 19th century fort, built in 1861\\. Inside, there are a few rooms that allow you to discover the history of the Lighthouse and the Fort of the Second Empire to the present day.
