Overview
The church of Saint-Etienne is a foundation of the counts of Bar that dates back to the beginning of the 14th century. This former collegiate church became a parish church at the end of the Revolution. The current building dates mainly from the 15th and 16th centuries. Its architecture blends harmoniously flamboyant Gothic style and Renaissance style. The church is home to many treasures including «Le Transi» by the Lorraine Renaissance sculptor Ligier Richier, as well as the «Calvaire» group, also attributed to Ligier Richier.
