Overview

Until the 1970s, the village was rural (about 900 inhabitants), but at this time began the construction of a collective housing area, the Priority Urban Area of Chantereigne-Montvilliers, which will move the town from a rural status to that of urban commune, with 3,500 inhabitants in 1975, without trade or industry. However, this does not prevent the town of Noës-près-Troyes to flourish in the Trojan agglomeration by animating an intense associative life and working for a quality of life highly appreciated by the inhabitants thanks to the activities proposed by the town hall of the city.
