Overview
Tribute to Henriette Ranson, known as “Mademoiselle”
Henriette Ranson, affectionately nicknamed “Mademoiselle”, lived for many years in this family home in the heart of Grande Champagne. Direct descendant of the Ferrand family, she was born in 1922 and died in 2016 at the age of 95. Without direct descent, she had expressed the wish that this house, built in the 1860s, would become a place of memory. A space frozen in time, as if the clock had stopped around 1900, housing five generations of a family that counts at least ten. A woman with vivid words and sharp humour, Henriette was happy to share anecdotes, memories and family stories, including genealogy, small local history and great moments of the cognac epic. This house embodies both: 🍇 the testimony of the golden age of cognac, 👨🌾 a tribute to the professions of winemaker, distiller and producer, 🌿 and the memory of a time marked by the phylloxera crisis, which profoundly changed the wine-growing history of the region. Informations Free – Reservation only. Reservation required: be sure to reserve the exact number of seats you want. Seats limited to 18 people per visit.
