Guided tour of beautiful houses
The station of Remiremont is located not far from the Médiathèque intercommunale of the circle and the rails run along the lake and the Alimentation canal of the Reservoir of Bouzey. The history of Remiremont begins in the 7th century, on the nearby Saint-Mont, at the time of the arrival of Amé and Romaric. There they established a monastery that flourished for nearly two centuries, before being transferred to the valley, along the river. Such a situation favors trade and settlement, explaining the rise of Remiremont. The city then developed thanks to trade: it is at this period that appear typical bourgeois houses with, on the ground floor, shops.
