Overview

Located in the Sept-Deniers neighbourhood, the former cigarette paper and “coated paper” plant, which closed in 2001, was renovated and reopened for a new life in October 2011. Built in the 1930s by architect Pierre Thuriès, the iconic Job building was classified as an industrial heritage of the 20th century. It embodies an important part of industrial, labour and social history. The Job collective has worked for many years for its transformation. After its acquisition by the municipality and its rehabilitation, the Espace Job, which has become a cultural centre, now houses the Jean Boiteux swimming pool, a performance hall and three resident associations: the MJC des Ponts Jumeaux, 7 Animés and Music'Halle. The concert hall offers multidisciplinary programming open to all audiences.
