📚 Diving behind the scenes of the Departmental Archives of Gers

An exceptional opening on the occasion of the European Heritage Days

Usually closed to the public, the Departmental Archives of Gers exceptionally open their doors on September 20 and 21, 2025 in the afternoon. Installed since 2006 in a dedicated building, at the heart of the Parc de l'Hôtel du Département, they invite you to discover their essential missions:

• collection,
• ranking,
• conservation,
• communication,
• and valorization of the 18 linear kilometers of documents they preserve. 📜 Created in 1796, the Departmental Archives are a true place of memory of Gascony. This will be an opportunity to (re)discover the history of Gers, from the Middle Ages to the present day, through its archival treasures. 🙌 Do not hesitate: come in large numbers to discover Gascon history and memory!
