Guided tour of the Elsa Triolet-Aragon House
Located in the south of the Yvelines, the Moulin de Villeneuve takes you into the privacy of Elsa Triolet and Aragon. He was sometimes the setting and source of inspiration for their writings. A walk, through the meadows, woods and “tears” that follow each other, allows the visitor to discover or rediscover two great figures of our intellectual life. It was in 1951 that Aragon decided to offer Elsa the Russian, the uprooted, the foreigner, “this little piece of land of France”. It is a mill established there at the beginning of the thirteenth century. Vestiges of the milling activity remain: the cage of the wheel is at the heart of the large salon, itself backed by the reach. In the park of nearly six hectares, which dominates the white stone of their tomb, winds the Rémarde. It is a place of writing.
