Overview
The town of Lissieu has been home to the Gamay National Conservatory since 2010. Created at the initiative of Inrae and Sicarex, a conservatory has been set up in the Rhône to protect this grape variety and maintain its biodiversity. Over 1,000 gamay varieties from around the world are featured on this site. These vines are exploited in the appellation coteaux du Lyonnais cuvé «clos de la Roue» by a winemaker from Chasselay.
