Guided tour of the Laboratory
ARC-Nucléart is a conservation and restoration workshop for archaeological and historical objects made of organic materials (wood, baskets, ropes, leathers, etc.). Here, science, history and art are intertwined; hundreds of years old objects stand alongside 21st century technologies; from consolidation processing to restoration and physical analysis.chemical, polychrome studies or disinfestation for polychrome wood objects… A multidisciplinary team made up of engineers and technicians in chemistry, biology, entomology, physico-chemistry and nuclear physics, but also curators, curators, curators, collection managers, photographers, mechanics, work together to serve our heritage.
