Overview

The current Gay-Lussac high school is the heir of a long history(story) which goes back up(raises) in 1521\\. Today he(it) keeps(preserves) the tracks of his(its) past of middle school(college) of Jesuits with his(its) chapel of the XVIIth century. After the departure of the Jesuits in 1762, the building makes the object of different extensions: building(ship) of the XVIIIth century built by the architect Joseph Brousseau, " small district " built under Napoleon III, scientific wing inaugurated in 1934, " average district " rebuilt in 1960s, before works of modernisation and of extension under the aegis of the Region for thirty years.
