Guided tour of the museum

The museum offers a guided tour through four exhibition rooms retracing significant episodes of local history during the Second World War.

The first room is dedicated to the Bénou youth camp. The second evokes the transpyrenian passages and highlights the essential role of several figures of passers. The Deportation Room retraces the history of the Tern, transit camps, internment camps, stalags and concentration camps. It also addresses the round-ups of Jews and the return of deportees. Finally, the Resistance room presents the course of the Corps Franc Pommiès, the armament and equipment of the maquisards, the Compulsory Labor Service (STO), local life during the war as well as youth camps.
