Guided tour of the Neolithic covered alley
The purpose of the guided tour of the Covered Alley of Dampsmesnil is to make known the history of this monument dating from about 3000 BC. It has the particularity of presenting, on one of its stones, a rare sculpture of the funerary goddess, typical of the Seine-Oise-Marne civilization. During the visit, the legends related to the site and the daily life of the men and women who occupied it, the first farmers to settle, are evoked. Tools of the time (cut and polished stones) are presented, as well as explanatory panels. At the end of the visit, a notice is given to each visitor.
