Overview

The church of Saint-Leu de Parpeville was built in 1829, the bell tower is placed at sunset above the portal. Saint-Leu, patron of the parish, was summoned. In 1939 a commemorative double stained glass window was made by the Belgian master glassmaker Alphonse Leopold de Troeyer. The theme illustrates a wounded, dying hairy man who, in a last swing from his right arm to the cross, seems to be asking for salvation. The whole of this work has an artistic interest for the Art Deco period.
