This chapel was built at the end of the 19th century by the families of the «children of Mary» a congregation of young girls, which explains its name of Chapel of the Virginies (children of Mary). In 1905, when the Church and the State separated, the latter recovered it. Some time later, in a common impulse, a certain number of practicing Saint Gironnais unite and redeem it, then it returns again a good of the Parish.
