The construction of this castle was completed in 1775\\. It has all the characteristics of a castle of the late eighteenth: on the ground floor kitchen and dining room are adjoining; a single staircase serves the bedrooms of the masters and the servants; in the park, a small house resembles the Queen’s hamlet at Versailles. This castle, in fact, was built by an admirer of J.J Rousseau. The orchard resembles the one described in LA NOUVELLE HELOISE. Very much in love with his wife, Mr.Grenier d'Ernemont furnished her a room worthy of the Petit Trianon de Versailles. We invited four artists to the castle on September 16 and 17\\. Two worked at the castle. We no longer present Laetitia or Laurent Soulet: Laetitia has exhibited in many European countries and almost everywhere in France. Laurent Soulet, carpenter and cabinetmaker, is also a sculptor. All the prizes he has recently won prove both his originality and his talent. Elsa Campet magnifies the gardens and terraces.
