Overview

Enjoy a visit to the Château de Saint-Point and discover the room and study of Alphonse de Lamartine, furnished as they were at the time, the kitchen, newly added to the tour, the dining room of the eighteenth century, the office of his secretary and the Lamartine museum. Located in the large living room on the ground floor, it houses the personal objects and memories of the poet, kept by his niece, Valentine de Cessiat. On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, two additional pieces will be exceptionally added to the guided tour: the neo-Gothic library and the former room of Marianne de Lamartine, classified as historical monuments. The romantic park of the castle will also be fully open. A poetic route will be set up in the park and will allow you, while contemplating the landscapes that have so inspired Lamartine, to listen to some of his most famous poems, read by five great French comedians.
