Overview

Church built in the 13th century, but retaining elements of the 12th century. Tombstones of the lords of O, various inscriptions, cenotaph of the lords of O, marbles pink, gray and white, characteristic of the Renaissance and signed Germain Pilon. Seven polychrome stone statues from the sixteenth century were discovered during work in the nave in 2000, five of which are on display in the church. The castle built by the lords of O in the fifteenth century was modified until the eighteenth century. In 1765, the castle became the property of the last seigneur of Bazemont and first mayor of Bazemont after the Revolution, Louis-Pierre Parat de Chalandray. The latter added buildings, knocked down a tower and created an English-style park. Today, the housing of the guard and the gardener remains.
