On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September 2024, the Service historique de la Défense in Cherbourg will join the European Heritage Days by opening its doors. This event is an opportunity to make the historical service as a whole and more particularly the Cherbourg division known to a wider public by exceptionally opening its stores and collections to the public. The service organises guided tours of its premises and archive stores around heritage collections, witnesses to Cherbourg’s historical and military past.
