The Maison de l'Or is an interactive and playful museum space that tells the story of gold, its uses and transformations from extraction to the finished jewel through industrial applications. A collection of precious jewels and objects from 1850 to the present day is also presented and the jewellery workshop is the scene of demonstrations of gold casting. In front of your eyes the metal melts and turns into an ingot.
