We have no oral or written record of the existence of the cemetery of Gigny before the nineteenth century. It is local chronicles of the French Revolution which put the first words on this place. As we walk through its alleys, its monuments, we pass through the history of our city. The association of friends of the city museum, for more than a year, works to survey and study the ancient funerary monuments of this cemetery, in partnership with the city and its museum.
