Overview

Join Ballyhaunis Tidy Town members and ecologist Dr Mary Tubridy, author of the Ballyhaunis Biodiversity Action Plan, for a walk and talk focusing on the geological, historical and biological assets of the town, such as local remnants of the Ice Age period (eskers, kame and kettle landscape), biological features of interest (ancient hedgerows, park and natural water course), and historical buildings such as the well, Friary church and cemetery.

Meet at the Ballyhaunis Community Hall (F35 Y337) at 10.45am for a start at 11am, join the walk freely until 1 - 1.30pm.

Wear good walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
