Historical route to the castle of Terride
The Château de Terride in Mirepoix, whose first mentions date back to 1063, fascinates by its history. Beating heart of his city before the devastating flood of 1289 which forced Mirepoix to rebuild on the other bank of the Hers, in turn property of the Bellissen family, Roger de Mirepoix then the family of Lévis de Mirepoix until 1664, this fortress aroused the greed of the powerful and teaches us by its vestiges, that it is part of the so-called «Cathar» History. The site has undergone many successive developments over the centuries and has spectacular fortifications characteristics.
