Overview

The skill of Romans in the construction of buildings that still “mark” our landscape is based on their ability to understand the potential of local materials. Methods and machinery for extraction and processing have changed, but the uninterrupted use of materials that are the very backbone of the territory has not changed. Let’s discover together how tuff, pozzolan and travertine are still extracted in quarries of Rome and Lazio.

Appointment: to the ticket office of the Musei Capitolini for the  triage.
