The town of Bastit is located in the department of Lot, in the heart of the natural park of Causses du Quercy. The preceptory of the Bastit is a real preceptory templar then hospitaller whose origins date back to the twelfth century. In the Middle Ages, this preceptory was a salutary stop for pilgrims on their way to Rocamadour. This place still bears witness to this chivalrous, rich and eventful era. The village also houses a charming church, the Saint-Blaise church, dated 1846\\. Its relatively recent construction is explained by the fact that it replaced the old chapel which was located in the castle of the Templars.
