Leading North County Dublin historian Frank Whearity will tell the story of Balbriggan baker, John Spicer (1853-1922) who enjoyed a high reputation locally for the quality of his bread and confectionery. He will also recount the various challenges he faced during his life. He died in 1922 but his family ran the business until 1993 when the bakery closed.
