Overview

From the emblematic Flagey Building - the former INR - embark on an unprecedented exploration of a district you think you know. Your guide will welcome you and take you along the Ixelles Ponds, where sumptuous townhouses and apartment buildings face each other in an exceptional setting. You will follow an itinerary that combines architecture, innovations from the early 20th century and the economic upheavals that led to the rise of co-owned properties. Why were these new homes such a success? How did they transform the city? How did they reinvent the spatial organisation inherited from traditional houses? All these questions will be answered. The journey ends at the prestigious Rond-Point de l'Étoile, home to some of the most remarkable corner buildings of the 1930s. In collaboration with E-GUIDES.
