This event is a guided walk to see the wildflower meadows and woodlands in the National Botanic Gardens at Kilmacurragh. The guide is Richard Nairn, a local ecologist and nature writer. He will discuss his forthcoming book 'Future Wild: Nature Restoration in Ireland' which will be published on 4th October. Richard holds a Masters Degree in Ecology. He was originally a nature reserve warden and is a former director of BirdWatch Ireland. He currently lives on a small farm in County Wicklow which is managed primarily for nature.
