Paseo guiado participativo para descubrir los vestigios del pasado marítimo de este barrio bilbaino

Olabeaga tiene una larga historia marítima y aunque se ha reducido considerablemente, todavía es posible ver vestigios de su actividad portuaria e industrial.

De la mano del investigador y divulgador Juan Mari Martín Rekalde, te invitamos a un paseo por su ribera, desde la iglesia de Santa Ana y San Nicolás de Bari (de donde procede un exvoto de la exposición) hasta Itsasmuseum, para descubrir las huellas de ese pasado de astilleros, talleres, embarcaderos, almacenes, diques y tinglados que poblaron su orilla y han conferido un carácter único a este barrio.

Participatory guided walk to discover the vestiges of the maritime past of this neighbourhood of Bilbao

Olabeaga has a long maritime history and although it has shrunk considerably, it is still possible to see traces of its port and industrial activity.

With the help of the researcher and publicist Juan Mari Martín Rekalde, we invite you to take a walk along the riverbank, from the church of Santa Ana and San Nicolás de Bari (where an ex-voto of the exhibition comes from) to Itsasmuseum, to discover the traces of that past of shipyards, workshops, wharfs, warehouses, docks and sheds that populated its shore and have given this neighbourhood a unique character.
