Overview
Walk on the Consolat hill overlooking the Séon basin
When a brief walk from St Exupéry high school to the promontory of Cape Janet meets a millennial history.
From the first men to the cities of the northern districts, passing through the Roman era and its tiles; From the time of the bastides and bourgeois walks to the arrival of water from the Durance in Marseille; From the German occupation to the last battle of liberation of Marseille (the battle of Foresta); From the first squats in France to the cities of the northern districts via the garden cities. Places and men known throughout the world were born and thrived on this hill. It is also the most beautiful love story, the most tragic too, and the most surprising anecdotes like the impromptu visit of great heads of state. A child from the neighborhood, Marc Mehdi Amar, will passionately guide you on the traces of his childhood without formalism or headache, paying tribute to Lucienne Brun and her magnificent work on the Séon basin entitled On the traces of our steps. End of the walk at Cap Janet, possibility to continue the day with a picnic and the walk along the Chemin des Bestiaux. Informations Gauge limited to 25 people. No particular difficulty in walking but not accessible to strollers and PRM Book
