Overview
Lambhill Stables was a derelict former stables building on the banks of the Forth and Clyde Canal in the Lambhill, Cadder and Milton area of North Glasgow.
The local community and environmental activists worked closely together to secure the funding to redevelop the Stables building and were successful in achieving substantial funding to do so, with the building being opened for public and community use in 2011.
Since then, there has been continuous improvement of the environment surrounding the building itself, including the adjacent garden and the frontage to the Forth and Clyde Canal and walkway that passes immediately next to the building.
The charity’s objects relate to the preservation of the historical, architectural heritage of the operating area; the provision of facilities and activities for social welfare; the provision of education and training; the relief of poverty and unemployment; the promotion of wellbeing and physical health and support to young people to develop their physical and mental capacities.
Bike parking available.
