Former residence of the seneschal of the barony of Montreuil-Bellay, it was built at the junction of the Late Middle Ages and the Renaissance (late 15th and early 16th century). It was also the home of Dr Jules Gaudrez, doctor and philanthropist, who was mayor of Montreuil-Bellay from 1908 to 1912. Free visits of the gardens.
