Leith School of Art is an independent art college with charitable status and approved by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). With our excellent staff to student ratios and high quality teaching, the School is an exceptional place to learn whether you are an established artist or a complete beginner.
We want our high quality teaching to be available to everyone and are committed to providing access to our courses to people of all backgrounds, experience and aspiration, irrespective of age, ability or personal circumstances. We pride ourselves on our supportive and nurturing environment, and welcome all those who want to learn about art and design.
Activities
Fun drop in workshop for all the family - A drop in table-top printmaking workshop suitable for all ages.
Guided tours of the building – one per hour, on the hour.
2025 Theme - Architectural Heritage: Windows to the Past, Doors to the Future
Leith School of Art is located in an old Norwegian Seamen’s Church and was adapted in 1988 in to a 3 studio art school. In the early 2000’s further development was made to add on a sculpture court, entry way and corridor, linking the main studios to our back studios.
