Ma’ Nżul ix-Xemx
Ma’ Nżul ix-Xemx is an immersive art installation by I+A (Malta) in collaboration with Signal Alpha (P.R. China), produced by the Valletta Cultural Agency as part of the Agency’s Cultural Programme and supported by the China Cultural Centre (Malta).
Over the years, I+A’s (Malta) and Signal Alpha (China), have recognised a number of similarities between the respective country's capital cities. This raised the question: how do the visitors of each city collectively perceive Valletta and Beijing?
Using digital technology, Ma’ Nżul ix-Xemx seeks to define and share these collective memories and perceptions by means of immersive experiences. Using 4 distinct spaces within the venue, 4 individual artworks will be creating deconstructed versions of the capital cities, guiding visitors through a journey exploring sensory similarities of Valletta and Beijing.
