Overview

27 September 2025 (10:30 - 15:30)
Maths Week Scotland is a dedicated week that takes place annually in late September/ early October, working with organisations across Scotland to deliver a programme of events and activities that highlight the importance of maths in our everyday lives. The Maths Week Scotland team also delivers online resources and activities all year round.
Join the Maths Week Scotland team to celebrate our theme ‘Wild Maths’ at the National Museum of Scotland. Unleash your creativity with LEGO® bricks, meet friendly learning robots Sphero Indi, Robot Mouse and Code-a-Pillar, delve into strategy games, or challenge yourself to brain teasers and logic puzzles. Discover even more maths together as a family in our story book corner. You will find us in Hawthornden Court.

Parking: There are four designated public parking spaces available for disabled visitors in Chambers Street. There is no charge for these spaces and they cannot be booked in advance. | Refreshments: There will be no refreshments served out our Open Day event, but the museum building itself has a cafe with refreshments available for purchase.
