Experience the marvellous world of moths and discover the wonderful diversity of these beautiful nocturnal creatures . Fancroft Mill hosts a visit from moth expert Philip Strickland and Offaly biodiversity officer Ricky Whelan who, with other colleagues , will involve visitors in the opening of moth traps (following their operation over night ). Having identified the night's catch , the moths are then carefully released . Complimentary simple breakfast fare will be served followed by a guided tour of the award winning Fancroft Mill complex .There will also be an opportunity to explore the extensive gardens at Fancroft .
