This beautiful room has been home to City Council meetings and weddings since 1898\\. Remarkable wall decoration (1904) and ceiling (1912-1915), works by the painter Henry Darien (1864-1926), brother of the writer Georges Darien. This setting, where the influence of impressionism is perceptible, allows to discover landscapes of Vanves and its surroundings. It shows in particular the open-pit clay quarry that was located at the present location of the Parc des Expositions and a very spectacular panorama of Paris from the early twentieth century.
