The North Glasgow Food Initiative invites you to learn about the development of the Milton Community Garden, established with the support of local residents. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a guided tour of the garden, as well as engage in a nature activity suitable for children to take home. Light refreshments, including tea and cake, will be available in a welcoming environment.
Join us to explore a community garden established by local residents for growing their own food and educational purposes. The garden hosts various groups, including Teeny Greenies and Young Planters, as well as volunteer sessions aimed at teaching participants how to cultivate plants. This tranquil and educational environment provides support for individuals experiencing depression and offers a peaceful oasis in Milton for relaxation. The space also features community meals, nature trails, and foraging activities. It is a valuable and engaging environment to discover and enjoy.
There will be Nature activities for ages: 8-12yrs, 5-8yrs or 0-5yrs.
