In the 17th century, the first documents attesting the existence of a factory in Tarascon date back to 1806\\. Charles DEMERY, heir to the factory, created the Souleïado brand in 1939 and founded the museum in 1988\\. Installed in a very beautiful mansion, on the very premises of the family business, it traces the history of Indian manufacture. You can discover rare pieces of Provençal cloth and costume, a unique collection of pottery and mixed land from the region, as well as moving reconstructions of scenes of everyday life in Provence in the 19th century.
