Myshall Trail Treasure Hunt is an exciting and investigative trail that takes participants on a circular route commencing and ending at Myshall Community Centre. It is aimed at families but can be attempted by individuals from nine/ten years up. It contains written and pictorial questions based on the rich built and natural heritage of the village and revolves around the existing Tree and Heritage Trails that have been developed over the past number of years. On the trail one can discover the true facts about certain trees, water creatures that live in the pond, emigrants of note and dates of important buildings in the village. One will encounter saints, scholars, statues, churches, cemeteries, parks and if very fortunate the way to buried treasure but beware there may be a ghost lurking in some areas! The trail can be completed at any time during Heritage Week by emailing myshallmuintir@gmail.com for your personal e-copy or on the specific date set aside for whole community participation which is Saturday August 24th.
