Of roots and branches: Flamenco Concert by Yorukalia Cia

Overview

Of Roots and branches (De Raíces y Ramas) is a show of flamenco and Spanish traditional dance with live flamenco-jazz music.

For this show in the National Archaeological Museum, connected to the itinerary 'Three Cultures, One Heritage', Yorukalia will bring together musical and dance heritage, represented by flamenco and folklore, with the historical and cultural heritage preserved in the museum.

Of Roots and Branches pays homage to the wealth of Spanish cultural heritage, as a product of coexistence and intermingling between the different peoples that have inhabited the Iberian Peninsula throughout its History. It also presents heritage as something that is very much alive and keeps evolving and developing through contact and fusion with different cultures from around the world.
