Overview

Since 1890, Opinel has made cutlery a way of life. In Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, nearly 700 m2 are dedicated to the history of the famous Savoyard knife invented by Joseph Opinel. Through permanent and temporary exhibitions, our free museum invites you to discover the great events that have made our brand what it is today. Our museum is suitable for all audiences, with playful tour materials for children and brochures translated into foreign languages. Take advantage of a passage in the city to take your picture next to the two giant monuments in the shape of Opinel which are located at the center of the Arves roundabout and on the Combe skate park.
