We create unique playable, community-centred sculptures made entirely from otherwise disused pianos. As part of a large network of makers, artists, performers and volunteers we design, build and install, then utilise the created spaces to programme inspiring festivals, one-off events and educational experiences.
Informal tours of the warehouse workshop, auditorium and piano adoption centre. A chance to craft with dismantled piano actions.
2025 Theme Architectural Heritage: Windows to the Past, Doors to the Future
There is a treasure trove of items found in pianos on display, these date back to over a hundred years of piano playing to a specific person and moment. As a door to the future we challenge the current throw away culture and show a way of using old materials for new purposes.
