Overview

A scientific institution with the Musée de France label, the Natural History Museum has been located in the heart of the city for almost two centuries. It is a place of conservation, presentation and exchange of knowledge. Museum professionals, scientists or simply curious, the museum has many tools to satisfy the greatest thirst for knowledge. Indeed, the 2,300 m² exhibition offers a fabulous trip to the heart of the natural and cultural heritage and allow to discover nearly ten thousand objects from the naturalist and ethnographic collections gathered since the eighteenth century. Opened since 2007, after major renovations, the museum now offers a modern and interactive museum. The contemporary scenography integrates perfectly the restored old spaces and highlights the charm and beauty of a tricentenary architecture.
