Overview

For 40 years, Michel Nioulou has been committed to preserving the agricultural equipment of artisanal and local manufacturing of Brionnais, Charollais and surrounding regions. The conservation of animal-drawn equipment is often oriented towards carriages, market horse-drawn carriages, Sunday carriages, and various prestige pieces. It is the complete opposite that this collector seeks to preserve, restore and present today. Unfortunately, everyday agricultural equipment has usually a destiny of flower pots in the communes, in private individuals, even in some museums, more than a patrimonial interest in the eyes of the public. Yet it is a whole part of the rural world that disappears without moving anyone. Michel Nioulou has not stopped working for its preservation as a historical and heritage. You will be able to discover part of his collection (tanks, dumpers, trinqueballes, cattle trucks, etc.) and around 3:30 PM, you will attend a demonstration of hot strapping of two new wooden wheels. Actor in the maintenance and promotion of bovine traction in France and one of the last three manufacturers of French yokes, Michel Nioulou will also offer you to watch films on the current work team in bovine traction. Informations Exhibition subject to favourable weather conditions | Free entry.
