Presentation of two 19th century carriages from the collection of the Diligence Museum of Douzat
Perched on a rocky spur, the castle of Barbezieux is a monument emblematic, steeped in history. Based(Established) in the XIth century, it was rebuilt further to Hundred Years' War, at the instigation of Margaret de La Rochefoucauld. Demolished(Destroyed) to a great extent in the XIXth century, remain(subsist) today the châtelet and the old(former) stables, redeployed to theatre. The latter(This last) makes the working object of restoration(catering) and of large-scale rehabilitation who(which) will end in 2015, to give birth(rise) to a new modern and successful equipment.
