Rambling House
The society are delighted once more to host a Rambling House in Roscrea Courthouse. Long before TV or the Internet, folk in Ireland had to entertain each other to get through the long nights. Certain houses in a locality became known as Rambling Houses where the community would gather to be entertained and informed of local news. People rambled on in, no invite was needed, no guest turned away. Many of our stories, songs and tunes have been passed on from generation to generation through the coming together of musicians, storytellers and dancers in days gone by. Join Fear an Tí Séamus Moloughney for what promises to be a very enjoyable evening of music, stories and songs. Light refreshments will be served on the night. Admission by voluntary donation with all proceeds going to Age Friendly Roscrea. Bring a friend and a song, bígí linn!
