The neighbourhood school or "auzo-eskola" of Goitioltza is located in one of Lezama's neighbourhoods farthest from the city centre. These are a typical example of the Basque regional typology that characterises the neighbourhood schools promoted by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia in the first decades of the 20th century. This one in particular was erected at the end of
that constructive and pedagogical process, during the Second Republic, between 1935-36.

It currently houses the municipal txoko, a socio-cultural facility and meeting point and leisure for families and neighbours of the municipality. We will discover all its details in a pleasant guided walk.
