Karrantza, the largest municipality in Bizkaia in terms of area and with 49 neighbourhoods, had more than 15 schools throughout the 20th century. There were municipal centres, others erected by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and also, those founded thanks to the patronage of certain benefactors
like the Indians. Many of them still survive and help us to better understand the way of life of our predecessors and changes that have occurred to date.

We will take a guided tour of the Biañez neighbourhood, where we will visit a former school as left by the students and the students on the day they closed their doors: desks, tables, school material...
