Overview

Located on the edge of the River Chère, the Chapel is one of the witnesses of the history of the smallest town of Loire-Atlantique whose origins go back to the 9th century. It was rebuilt on the site of a fountain dedicated to Saint Apolline, a resource for people suffering from toothache. In the 9th century, the Benedictine monks of the Abbey of Saint Sauveur of Redon, fleeing from the Normans, took away the relics of Saint Marcellin and built the chapel of St Marcellin to deposit them. Age from 0 to 99 y.o. Informations Free entry
